Warwick Marler completed his law degree at the University of Queensland in 1977 and was admitted to practice in 1978.
After working for one of Queensland's major legal firms, Warwick joined the firm of CB Darvall & Darvall in 1979. He was Partner in that firm until 2003, having been Managing Partner of the Brisbane branch of the firm since 1993. Warwick continued the Brisbane office as a sole practitioner under the name of Marler & Darvall until that practice merged with Delaney and Delaney on 1 January 2012.
Warwick's particular areas of interest are business law (including project and enterprise structuring), banking, finance and securities, property development, and the licensing of Intellectual Property.
For over 30 years Warwick has acted for both lenders and borrowers, advising both lenders and borrowers on loan and security structuring, especially in the business and property development areas. Warwick also has considerable experience in the documentation of lending in security transactions inbanking and finance superior court litigation.
